Why Yoga?

Yoga and bodywork go hand-in-hand.  Both stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, positively effecting digestion, increasing relaxation and stabilizing mood.  While massage unwinds tight muscles, yoga works to increase their flexibility and strength.  Guided by breath, yoga sessions nurture the mind-body connection and increases awareness.  Regular yoga can change your life in a positive and profound way. Rebecca’s Approach to Yoga

Rebecca has been practicing yoga since 1996 and became certified to teach in 2013. She combines several styles including, but not limited to, Hatha/Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Anusara, Kripalu and Kundalini to create a healing practice that suits all body types and skill levels. She holds an Om Births certification to teach Prenatal Yoga.

As a bodyworker, Rebecca is fascinated with anatomy and kinesiology and she brings that love to the mat while safely exploring the limits of the body and mind. She believes yoga is a fantastic outlet to increase flexibility and strength while calming and focusing the mind through movement and breath.

Her practices are free-flowing and anything but rigid. All include a mindfulness component featuring a form of breathwork and meditation. To practice yoga is to accept how it feels in your body each day, to explore the difference and to gently challenge yourself to evolve further both physically and mentally.
